New Hampshire Beautiful

Framingham Massachusetts Old America Company, (1923). Framingham Massachusetts Old America Company 1923. Green Cloth/Gold letterring and gold art. The state of New Hampshire is better known than any other by the nation of tourists at large. For this reason the numerous pictures, in a form to preserve, of the various portions of the state, will be the more valued by the public. The writer has an affection for New Hampshire, as he passed years of preparation there at Phillips Exeter Academy. It was in that state that he recovered and restored the famous Wentworth-Gardner House, which has now become the property of the Metropolitan Museum. Here is a glimpse of New Hampshire as it was. Just as in his other volumes, Nutting, in poetry, prose and pictures, depicts the lush scenery of one of the nation's most beautiful mountain states. Included in the collection of photographs is the village meetinghouse in Hancock, an old schoolhouse in Westmoreland, farmers gathering hay in Tuftonboro, scenes of turn-of-the-century home life, and the interiors of some of the beautiful homes. Very Good / no dj. Item #biblio743
