Leatherette, 22 kt. gold accents and lettering, printed with acid neutral pages that are thread sewn, not glued together, gold gilded page edges to further protect the pages, raised spine bands that give each volume that distinctive antique look, decorated end papers. No DJ as issued. Franklin Library Books stopped printing these in 2000, they are no longer in print These are beautiful books and make unique great gifts. Even with its one flaw, its good reading copy, priced accordingly.
